Chelsea have scored some great goals in their long and illustrious history. However, one goal has popped up once again after news emerged that the iconic San Siro stadium would be demolished.
Dennis Wise scored a goal in Chelsea’s 1-1 draw with AC Milan in the Champions League back in 1999, and it got Chelsea fans reminiscing on the game at the San Siro.
The historic home of Italian rivals AC and Inter Milan is set to be demolished and replaced by a new £690million venue in its place.
AC Milan President Paolo Scaroni said: “We’re building a new stadium near the old one. San Siro will be demolished and there will be new buildings in its place.”
Inter CEO Alessandro Antonello confirmed the plans, adding: “Absolutely.” (Source: TalkSport)
The news will come as sad news to many football fans around the world, with the San Siro considered to be one of the greatest football stadiums in the world.
