Kenneth Omeruo, remember him? No, neither do I. However it seems some fans do remember the Nigerian international after the club’s official Twitter account tweeted about the almost forgotten man.
Fans seemed to be less than pleased after the tweet about Omeruo, hitting out at the club for constantly loaning the player out rather than giving him an opportunity.
Well played, @omeruo22! ????

Chelsea were tweeting after Omeruo scored for Nigeria in a 1-0 win, as the Super Eagles successfully qualified for the last-16 stage at the African Cup of Nations (AFCON).
Omaeruo has been a strange signing for Chelsea, having signed for the West London club in the summer of 2012, but, never making an appearance for the first team.
The 25-year-old has enjoyed six different loan spells across four different countries in the seven years since he joined Chelsea.
Here is a selection of tweets from fans after the reminder of Omeruo, who scored at AFCON for Nigeria:
You still remember him?????

This guy @omeruo22 has matured as a defender. It’s time you give him a chance to prove himself at Stanford bridge.

I wonder why you are tweeting about him, please sell Omeruo to a better club of his choice and stop giving him loan move all the time, he’s a better player and don’t kill his career for us Nigeria.
