With Frank Lampard’s appointment seemingly imminent, Chelsea fans will be hoping he can break the habit of the Roman Abramovich era.
According to the Telegraph, Frank Lampard will be told that he will be given time in the hot seat at Stamford Bridge. You can forgive fans for being less than optimistic about such reports, especially with Chelsea’s recent history, involving both Antonio Conte and Maurizio Sarri, who were got rid of after winning trophies.
In total, there have been 13 managerial appointments in the Abramovich era, and Lampard would be the 14th manager if appointed, since the 2003 takeover.
However, Lampard’s appointment is set to see a change in plans from Chelsea, with the Englishman only having managed one full season in professional management.
Fans seem to be reluctant in trusting their board and were reacting in disbelief to the reports from the Telegraph.
Lampard will be assured he will get time to create successful new chapter of his Chelsea career #cfchttps://t.co/C0Mg6RfCgT

Every manager is given some form of assurances until they get sabotaged and betrayed by Marina Granovskaia before the ink has even dried on that lucrative contract.
