With the inability to replace this summer, any outgoings at Chelsea aren’t likely to be too helpful to the club’s cause.

While the hefty price tag that saw Eden Hazard finally move to Real Madrid may cushion the blow of his departure – some fans are dismayed over a promising youngster being sold at what they see as a bargain price.

Full-back Ola Aina spent last season on loan at Torino, who have reportedly taken up the option to buy the defender on a permanent deal for £9m.

Nigerian Aina made 32 appearances for the Serie A club and joins after coming through Chelsea’s youth system.

With the chance of breaking through to the first team potentially greater due to the incoming transfer ban, fans may have been able to look forward to Aina pushing for opportunities at Chelsea – but after just 23 minutes of Premier League football in his career so far – it seems the club have worn out the 22-year-old’s patience.

As a result, fans are disappointed at not seeing a youth product come good in the way Ruben Loftus-Cheek or Callum Hudson-Odoi have in the past season – with some bemoaning the meagre fee that ended his Blues career:
