Kepa Arrizabalaga enjoyed a fantastic first season at Stamford Bridge, as Chelsea finished third in the Premier League, reached the Carabao Cup Final and won the Europa League.
After such a solid first season for Arizzabalga, the club’s official Twitter account tweeted out celebrating the Spaniard’s debut season with the club. Fans reacted by showing a lot of love towards the shot-stopper, with some expecting even more from the 24-year-old.

However, Arrizabalaga’s first season wasn’t without controversy, as he got involved in a bitter and very public dispute with former manager Maurizio Sarri.
During the Carabao cup final against Manchester City, Arrizabalaga seemed to pick up an injury late in extra time, and what occurred next was hated by Chelsea fans. Arrizabalaga refused to be substituted after Sarri had prepared back up keeper Willy Caballero to come on in his place.
However, it seems that has all be forgotten. Here is a selection of tweets from fans after Chelsea’s tweet about his first season at the club:
He’s going straight to the top, love him ????
