He may have won trophies galore at Stamford Bridge, but some Chelsea supporters are desperate to consign Jose Mourinho’s mixed Blues career to history.
The jobless Portuguese has been mooted with yet another sensational return to West London with Maurizio Sarri rumoured to be lined up by Juventus, as Massimiliano Allegri vacates the Turin hotseat.
As Frank Lampard remains under consideration for taking the Italian’s place, Mourinho’s name continues to hover around the names of alternative candidates while Sarri’s immediate future hangs in the balance.
But with that disastrous 2015/16 campaign still very much etched in the minds of the Blues faithful, Mourinho’s return would not be met with quite the fanfare he might expect – if the tweets below are anything to go by.
Mou’s failure to even be in top-four contention at Manchester United won’t do his case any good – with expectations understandably low given the inability to replace the large void left by one Eden Hazard at the weekend.
So Chelsea fans would be forgiven for thinking that The Special One has lost his touch, with any chance of forgiveness all-but gone – as these fans dread to risk history repeating itself in the wrong way:
Ah hell no!!!

That is the dumbest managerial suggestion anyone has come up with in the last few days.
Top 4 is the target now, not relegation battle!
A young, dynamic manager, who is familiar with #PL would be safest bet at this point.— Ravi Puranik (@RJPuranik) June 9, 2019
Please no. I couldn’t take it.

I really hope not this would be a a real disaster for the youth players who are starting to show promise, also he’s past it with his style of football.

Let us forget about J. Mourinho and move on. Jose has played his part in @ChelseaFC history.

If you think Jose is coming back for a third term then you know nothing about Chelsea
