Fulham and Burnley are keen on signing Chelsea centre-back Jake Clarke-Salter on loan during the January transfer window, according to HITC Sport.
The 21-year-old is currently out on loan at the Blues’ feeder club in the Netherlands: Vitesse Arnhem.
Since moving to the Eredivisie side in the summer, Clarke-Salter has been a regular starter, playing the full 90 minutes in all seven league games so far this campaign.
The defender even scored on his debut in the 5-1 win over FC Groningen back in August. However, things haven’t gone completely smoothly for the England Under 21 international since then.
Clarke-Salter was sent off in the Europa League third qualifying round second leg against Basel; a tie Vitesse lost 2-0 on aggregate, crashing out of the competition before the group stages.
His current loan deal is supposed to run until next summer, but Chelsea may feel the centre-half’s development could benefit by playing Premier League football for the second half of the season.
