Chelsea and Arsenal are interested in signing RB Leipzig goalkeeper Peter Gulacsi, according to Bild.
The German publication reports there are doubts over whether the Hungarian international will stay with the Bundesliga club, and the two London sides are said to be keen on recruiting the shot-stopper.
The Blues were last linked with Gulacsi back in March, along with Atletico Madrid. The former Liverpool keeper has made a name for himself in Germany over the past few years, establishing himself as Leipzig’s number one.
With Chelsea having signed Kepa Arrizabalaga for £72m in the summer, the club are not likely looking for a new first choice, but with Willy Caballero’s contract expiring in the summer, they may be looking for a new number two.
The Argentinian veteran is now 37 years of age, and while another one-year contract extension cannot be ruled out, a move for a younger understudy at the end of the season may make sense.
