Chelsea are amongst the clubs that have been put on alert after Adrien Rabiot rejected a new contract with Paris Saint-Germain, The Mail reports.
The 23-year-old sees his contract with the French champions expire at the end of the season and will be able to speak to clubs outside of France in January regarding a pre-contractual agreement, before moving in the summer.
Thomas Tuchel is keen to retain the services of the France international but Rabiot has turned down another offer of an extension from PSG, which leaves it looking increasingly likely that he will be on the move in 2019.
However, Chelsea will face a stern battle in the fight for Rabiot’s signature as the likes of Manchester City, Barcelona and Juventus are all keen on securing the services of a player widely regarded to be one of the best young midfielders on the continent.
His wages will also be high, as the report says PSG’s latest offer was a salary worth €7.2million (£6.32m) a year.
