Chelsea have been informed that Genoa striker Krzysztof Piatek will cost a whopping €60m (£52.6m) in January, as reported by Football.London.
The Poland international has been in sensational form since joining the Serie A side in the summer, scoring 13 goals in eight appearances across all competitions this season – becoming the first player in Europe to hit double-figures in the process.
Piatek continued his fine form by scoring his first goal for Poland in a 3-2 defeat against Portugal on Thursday, in what was only his second appearance for his nation, and his displays have led to widespread interest across Europe.
Tottenham, Liverpool and Napoli are all said to rival Chelsea in the hunt for the 23-year-old but Genoa are adamant that their summer recruit will not be sold in January and will demand at least €60m (£52.6m) if that stance is to change.
Chelsea’s interest comes amidst Alvaro Morata and Olivier Giroud’s lack of consistency in the final third this season, with the former scoring three times and the latter yet to open his account this term.
