Chelsea are prepared to pay £17.6m for Brescia midfielder Sandro Tonali in January, according to CalcioMercato.
The 18-year-old Italy U19 international has caught the eye of Blues boss Maurizio Sarri, who previously targeted the central midfielder during his time with Napoli, and Chelsea are prepared to make a move for the teenage talent.
Tonali has impressed in Italy’s second-tier with Brescia, also attracting the interest of Italian champions Juventus, and Chelsea sent scouts to watch the teenager in action against Padova prior to the international break.
Earning comparisons to Italian legend Andrea Pirlo, who also started his career at Brescia, Tonali helped guide Italy’s U19 side the the final of the European Championships this summer and is tipped to earn a lucrative move in 2019.
Tonali has played seven Serie B matches for Brescia so far this season, securing two assists, having made 19 league appearances during his breakthrough campaign last term.
