The agent of Genoa striker Krzysztof Piatek has spoken about the growing interest in his client but says no formal offers have been made, as reported by The Daily Express.

Piatek only moved to the Italian side in the summer from Polish football but has enjoyed a sensational start to the season, hitting 14 goals in 10 matches and becoming the first player in European football to hit double figures this season in the process.

The 23-year-old was rewarded with his first cap for Poland in September and netted his first goal for his nation in last week’s 3-2 defeat to Portugal.

A host of clubs are linked with interest in Piatek and his agent, Szymon Pacanowski, has confirmed that discussions have been held but no formal approach has been made.

“Many clubs have contacted us, but there has been no formal offer. Many clubs have contacted us over the last few weeks, but I won’t name them.

“However, there has been no formal offer from any club, including Napoli. His value has certainly risen over the three months in Serie A, but right now we are happy to remain at Genoa.

Meanwhile, Genoa chief Giorgio Perinetti has insisted the club will not listen to offers for Piatek in January.
