Chelsea midfielder Mason Mount has been called up by Gareth Southgate for England’s two games against Croatia and Spain later this month.
The 19-year-old has performed very well under Frank Lampard during his loan spell at Derby County this season.
Some fans on Twitter were comparing Mount to the Blues great, and are very excited by the midfielder’s future:

A few supporters think it is a shame that the teenager hasn’t been afforded more game time at Chelsea:
I hope he gets a chance in the front Chelsea 11 one day

The time to start playing youth is now! Pedro Willian Cesc Zappa And Drinkwater easilly can be replaced with youth players and former players like Bertrand Troare so hopefully we see young players get oppurtunity. This proves Chelsea youth are good enough to play for us.

Bring back Mount please.

Mount certainly deserves his opportunity. England are crying out for better quality attacking midfield players and he certainly fits the mould. For Derby, he has already scored five times in his first 14 games.
You also have to remember that he starred when playing for Vitesse Arnhem in the Eredivisie last season. He scored 13 goals and contributed ten assists in 40 appearances for the Dutch club. The sky’s the limit for the very talented midfielder.
