Chelsea defender Antonio Rudiger had a very good game against Liverpool on Saturday, topping the display with an excellent goalline clearance from Mo Salah.
The German international has established himself alongside David Luiz as the first choice centre-back pairing under Maurizio Sarri this season.
Fans on Twitter were so effusive in their praise that they were comparing him to a Chelsea legend:
Dare I say it….Terryesq!

Normal defender would just continue running and wait for the ball to go into the net

However, supporters weren’t too happy about the performances of a couple of his teammates in the backline:
Alonso is so poor as a defender.

Luiz would before but not now..

Rudiger has certainly surprised many with his displays so far this campaign. Although the Blues haven’t always looked defensively secure at the back since the beginning of the season, they have only conceded five goals in seven league games.
They also managed to keep Liverpool’s front three pretty quiet on Saturday, barring a few chances, and they were only undone by a 25-yard screamer from Daniel Sturridge very late on in proceedings.
