Chelsea midfielder Mateo Kovacic has been widely praised for his performance against Liverpool on Saturday.
The Croatian international is on loan with the Blues from Real Madrid until the end of the season, and he has formed an excellent midfield trio, alongside N’Golo Kante and Jorginho.
Fans on Twitter are pleading for Kovacic to stay long term:
Please stay with us forever.

Some supporters disagreed with Maurizio Sarri’s decision to substitute him for Ross Barkley at the weekend:
I didn't buy the idea of removing him in the game at all.
Did a nice job for the defense/attack combo.— Nnaemeka akachukwu ???????????????? (@emekaakachukwu) 29 September 2018
Shouldn't have taken him off. Ans ahould have brought on Fabregas instead.

We would have win the game if he stayed on…Barkley was absolute trash for third successive game.

Should never of took him off. We would of kept that ball in the middle if he was still on. Fair result though.

Kovacic’s form since his arrival from Madrid in the summer has been excellent. He is keeping the likes of Cesc Fabregas out of the team at the moment, and with the Blues still unbeaten in the league this season, he could well be in for a long run in the side.
Chelsea don’t have an option to buy the 24-year-old in their loan agreement but the Croatian has already stated that he would be keen to stay for the long term.
