Chelsea defender Gary Cahill could have offers from up to five clubs when his contract runs down in the summer, according to La Gazette des Transfert (via Sport Witness).

The French publication reports that Aston Villa, Watford, Sevilla, Bordeaux and Marseille are keen on signing the 32-year-old.

The chances of Cahill gettingĀ a new deal to stay at Stamford Bridge look to be very low. He has not been named in a matchday squad by new manager Maurizio Sarri so far this campaign.

Last season, the England international made 43 appearances under Antonio Conte, captaining the side, but the appointment of a new manager has led to his situation at the club changing drastically.

With Sarri preferring four at the back, the Italian has opted to select Antonio Rudiger and David Luiz as the preferred centre-back partnership, with Andreas Christensen being favoured for bench duties.

Cahill could get his first start tonight against PAOK in the Europa League with a number of changes expected from last weekend’s victory against Cardiff City.
