Porto left-back Alex Telles is poised to sign a new five-year contract at the Portuguese club, according to A Bola.
The Portuguese newspaper reports that Chelsea, Liverpool and Paris Saint-Germain have all been interested in signing the Brazilian but he now looks set to remain at the Estadio do Dragao until 2023.
Telles’ current release clause is reportedly worth €40m but A Bola report that this will increase to €50m (£44.6m) in his new deal.
The fullback has started the 2018/19 season in a rich vein of form, with one goal and two assists from his first four league matches.
With Marcos Alonso firmly established as the Blues’ first choice left-back, a move for another high profile player in that position would be unlikely, considering how highly the Spaniard is rated by manager Maurizio Sarri.
However, Emerson Palmieri hasn’t even featured in a matchday squad so far this season so a move for another fullback in the future is not completely out of the question.
