Chelsea are one of four teams keeping tabs on Aaron Ramsey after Arsenal’s decision not to offer the Welshman a new contract, according to the Mirror.
The newspaper’s chief football writer John Cross reports that the Blues will be joined by Juventus, Lazio and Manchester United in pursuing a deal for the 27-year-old.
Ramsey’s current deal expires in the summer, and he will be available on a free transfer despite the Gunners having reportedly turned down sizeable offers for the midfielder in the past.
It is believed contract talks have completely broken down between the Welsh international and the club, to the extent that no offer has been made to extend his stay.
The Evening Standard reported last month that Ramsey wanted to double his £110,000 a week wages, but Arsenal were unwilling to give in to his demands.
The playmaker is still an important first team player, after starting five of the first six Premier League games this campaign. However, it seems that unless contract talks are revived, he could leave the Emirates with Chelsea a possible destination.
