Chelsea midfielder Eden Hazard has said he hasn’t signed a contract extension with the Blues, but he hinted that there may be one in the pipeline.
Speaking after the Blues’ 2-1 over Liverpool in the Carabao Cup, he was quoted by the Daily Mail as saying:
“I haven’t signed a contract Not yet, not yet.”
Fans on Twitter are optimistic that a deal can be done.

Others are not so sure:
I’m not sure he will. He’s a good professional, he’s doing his best while here but I’m sure he wants to leave. Will be glad if he signs though

If he doesn’t we just know he’s going to Madrid on the cheap and will be the biggest heartbreak ever

Hazard has been heavily linked with Real Madrid in recent seasons, and his current contract is set to expire in 2020. Reports over the past year have suggested that negotiations over a new deal have taken place, but so far there has been no announcement of an extension.
No doubt, Chelsea will be very keen to tie down the 27-year-old for the long term. The Belgian international has been in scintillating form this season, with his goal against Liverpool on Wednesday night taking his tally to six for the campaign in just seven games.
