There is plenty of activity around Chelsea on Deadline Day, with a number of departures on the cards, but one player will not be leaving.
Evening Standard journalist Simon Johnsen states that Danny Drinkwater will reject the interest from clubs across the Premier League in order to stay and fight for first-team football at Stamford Bridge, despite Maurizio Sarri’s activity in the market.
Despite #whufc interest, among others,am told that there has yet to be credible loan offer for #Drinkwater. Plenty of time left, but as things stand,he is focused on fighting for his place at #cfc.Has spoken to #Sarri,is aware of the challenge he faces, but hopes to prove his worth.

The Blues landed Mateo Kovacic on loan from Real Madrid on Deadline Day as part of the deal taking Thibaut Courtois to the Spanish capital and signed Italy international Jorginho from Napoli shortly after Sarri’s arrival – with the pair expected to be first-choice in the heart of the Blues side.
Drinkwater has been linked with the likes of West Ham and former employers Leicester but no credible offer has been tabled for the England international, with an exit looking increasingly unlikely as time is running out ahead of this afternoon’s 5pm deadline.
