The transfer window may have closed in England but Chelsea are still expected to complete business in the market with clubs on the continent.

European sides have until the end of August before the transfer window slams shut and the Blues look set to offload a midfield outcast before the end of the month.

Goal states France international Tiemoue Bakayoko is closing in on a loan move to AC Milan until the end of the season, who will then have the option to complete a permanent deal for around £35m next summer.

23-year-old Bakayoko only arrived at Stamford Bridge from Monaco last summer, costing a reported fee of £40m, but struggled to impress in his debut campaign and has now tumbled down the pecking order at the club.

Maurizio Sarri has signed Jorginho and Mateo Kovacic to bolster his options in the middle of the park, where he also has Cesc Fabregas, N’Golo Kante, Danny Drinkwater and Ruben Loftus-Cheek as options.
