Chelsea started the new Premier League season under Maurizio Sarri in fine form last weekend, travelling to West Yorkshire and picking up a comfortable win over Huddersfield Town.

The Blues face a much sterner test on Saturday as they welcome London rivals Arsenal to Stamford Bridge, who are seeking redemption after defeat to Manchester City last time out in Unai Emery’s first Premier League match.

However, the Blues have not lost this league fixture on home soil since 2011 and former Arsenal defender Paul Merson believes the hosts will secure another win. Writing his weekly predictions for Sky Sportshe said:

“Chelsea had a great result and Arsenal’s was disappointing. I say disappointing but I don’t know what everybody was expecting? That a new manager was going to come in and they’d wipe the floor with Man City?

“I’ll go with Chelsea, 2-1, I think they’ll just have too much for Arsenal.”
