Chelsea managed to keep prized assets Willian and Eden Hazard at Stamford Bridge despite prying eyes from across Europe during the summer but may have a battle on their hands in the coming weeks.

Having already secured the services of Thibaut Courtois from the Blues, DonĀ BalonĀ reports that Real Madrid are looking to raid Stamford Bridge for the second time in order to snatch the signature of Marcos Alonso from the West London side.

Julen Lopetegui’s tenure in the Spanish capital did not get off to the best of starts on Wednesday evening as Atletico Madrid hit twice in extra time to secure a 4-2 victory over Los Blancos in the European Super Cup.

Concerns have been raised about the leaky defence of the Champions League winners and 27-year-old Alonso, who started his career at the Santiago Bernabeu but earned just one senior appearance before leaving in 2010, is identified as the ideal candidate.
