Chelsea are poised for a busy end to the transfer window, as Maurizio Sarri seeks to rejuvenate his squad ahead of his debut Premier League season.

The Blues have cast their eye towards a number of fresh signings at Stamford Bridge but exits are also likely, with a plethora of young talent looking set to spend time away from west London in order to earn their first-team stripes.

One of those is defender Matt Miazga, with reports in France stating that Nantes have joined Ligue 1 rivals Caen in pursuit of the 23-year-old.

ESPN confirmed earlier this week that Caen had made an approach to bring the United States youngster to French football for the 2018-19 season, with a medical in place for Tuesday, but a final decision on Miazga’s move has not been made.

A decision is imminent though and the latest reports suggest that Miazga prefers a move to Nantes, who finished ninth in Ligue 1 last season, over Caen – who ended the campaign just one point above the relegation spots.
