Stamford Bridge is likely to be a hive of activity heading into the final few days of the English transfer window, although plenty of business could be done right up until the end of August.
Chelsea will be concerned that European sides could raid their club before the window on the continent closes at the end of the month, with Thibaut Courtois, Willian, N’Golo Kante and Eden Hazard amongst those being linked with a move abroad.
According to The Times, England international Rubens Loftus-Cheek could also push for an exit across Europe if his demands for first-team football are not met in the opening weeks of the 2018-19 season.
Loftus-Cheek impressed on-loan at Crystal Palace last season, forcing his way into Gareth Southgate’s squad for the World Cup in Russia and catching the eye during England’s charge to the semi-finals of the competition.
The 22-year-old is unlikely to seek a move before the Premier League window closes on Thursday but is ready to demand a move to the continent, firing a warning to Maurizio Sarri.
