Chelsea were extremely active on Deadline Day, landing Kepa Arrizabalaga and Mateo Kovacic from Athletic Bilbao and Real Madrid respectively in the final 24 hours of the window – as well as seeing Thibaut Courtois leave for the Spanish capital.
There is still the chance of further departures occurring from Stamford Bridge this month though, as the European window does not close until the end of August, but a switch for one defender across the Premier League could also take place.
According to The Liverpool Echo, Kurt Zouma will find out today if he has secured a move to Everton on loan after a deal sheet was handed to the Premier League before the 5pm deadline – giving both clubs a further two hours to finalise a deal.
However, a season long deal was held up last night and the three parties now face an anxious wait to see whether the France defender will be spending the 2018-19 campaign at Goodison Park.
