Chelsea could see a number of players leave Stamford Bridge this month despite the close of the transfer window in England.

Sides outside of the Premier League could still land assets from the Blues on loan, while European sides could also do the same as the window on the continent does not slam shut until the end of the month.

Ruben Loftus-Cheek has attracted plenty of interest this summer after starring for England at the World Cup and Bundesliga outfit Schalke, who finished runners-up to Bayern Munich last season, are said to be keen on his services.

However, The Guardian states that Loftus-Cheek is set to snub the opportunity to move to the club, who want him to replace Max Meyer, as the 22-year-old is determined to force his way into Maurizio Sarri’s first-team plans this season.

The departure of Tiemoue Bakayoko to AC Milan has left a void in the squad to fill and Loftus-Cheek wants to shine in his absence.
