Chelsea are seeking wholesale changes to their squad under the leadership of Maurizio Sarri, who has already secured the services of Napoli midfielder Jorginho.

The Blues remain in the market for new additions and have been widely linked the the services of a new defender, with Juventus ace Daniele Rugani heavily touted with a potential move to Stamford Bridge.

However, the player’s agent has now suggested the Italy international is unlikely to seal a transfer to the Premier League side.

Speaking to Radio CRC, Davide Torchia said:

“I am happy for Sarri because no one believed he could get there and instead here he is coaching Chelsea.

“Everyone thinks that [Rugani] follows him to Chelsea, but it must be considered that Juventus also did not accept any negotiations in the past, either with Napoli nor with any other teams and has always expressed the will to keep the player and today that has not changed.”
