Chelsea could be set for a busy end to the transfer window as the Blues are heavily linked with both incoming and outgoing deals but the future of one man appears to be resolved.

Brazil international David Luiz has been widely linked with an exit throughout the summer after spending the majority of last season under Antonio Conte in exile but he is ready to stay at Stamford Bridge after the appointment of Maurizio Sarri.

Quoted by The Telegraph, Luiz ruled out an exit and praised the impact the former Napoli boss has had on the squad.

“When I took my decision to come back here from Paris it was to win the Premier League and to do something again with Chelsea. I came back to stay here.

“I love this philosophy [under Sarri]. We play high, with a lot of possession of the ball in a technical way. He’s trying to help us every single day, double sessions, to learn quickly his philosophy.

“Play from the back, build from the back, try to help the guys, try to be in line. A new philosophy always takes time. We are trying to learn quickly.”
