Chelsea are set for a busy few weeks under the guidance of Maurizio Sarri, as the new boss looks to rejuvenate his squad ahead of his first season at Stamford Bridge.
The Blues are seeking to shake-up their attacking options, which suggestions that both Alvaro Morata and Olivier Giroud could be offloaded, and Chelsea have placed Juventus striker Gonzalo Higuain at the top of their wish-list.
Chelsea have now been handed a huge boost in their quest to land his services as Juventus could consider a sale following the expensive acquisitions of Cristiano Ronaldo from Real Madrid, according to club chief Beppe Marotta.
Speaking to Sky Sport Italia, he said:
“I won’t deny that with the addition of Cristiano Ronaldo we’ve got a quality attacking department that’s a bit crowded. We’ll evaluate things with Higuain, but nothing concrete has arrived from Chelsea and Milan.”
