Chelsea are set for significant changes under the leadership of Maurizio Sarri, who was finally confirmed as the Blues’ new manager after months of speculation.

Sarri has already secured the services of Jorginho from former employers Napoli and will look to offload players within his squad deemed to be surplus to requirements in order to raise funds for further activity.

The Daily MirrorĀ states one of the players Chelsea are willing to offload this summer is Olivier Giroud, fresh from winning the World Cup with France, just months after landing his services from London rivals Arsenal.

Chelsea are eyeing a deal to land Gonzalo Higuain from Juventus, and are offering Alvaro Morata as bait for a deal, after learning that the Italian giants are open to a sale following their mammoth capture of Cristiano Ronaldo from Real Madrid.

Should Higuain arrive at Stamford Bridge, it would also spell bad news for Giroud and clubs are aware of his availability with 12 months remaining on his contract.
