Chelsea are in the hunt for new acquisitions under the guidance of Maurizio Sarri and the potential departure of Eden Hazard, widely linked to Barcelona, has left a void to fill in the squad.

The Blues’ options in the wide positions could be severely limited as Barcelona continue to push to bring Willian to the club from Stamford Bridge, although that pursuit may have ended following the capture of Malcom from Bordeaux.

Chelsea remain in the market for recruits though and The Sun says the Blues have been put on alert by Anthony Martial, who is pushing to leave Manchester United and is ready to defy the club as he seeks to remain in the Premier League.

22-year-old Martial struggled to earn regular first-team football under Jose Mourinho last season, which saw him miss out on a position in France’s World Cup squad, but United have stated they will only sell to a club outside of the Premier League.

However, Martial is ready to put that stance to the test as he wants to remain within English football and this could encourage Chelsea to make a move.
