Chelsea are on alert after a recently-crowned World Cup winner reportedly expressed his desire to complete a summer switch.
Spanish outlet Cadena Cope states Ousmane Dembele is furious with Barcelona following the signing of Malcom from Bordeaux, which he believes shows a lack of faith in his services.
22-year-old Dembele endured a difficult debut campaign in Catalonia after signing for Borussia Dortmund last summer, spending a large chunk of the season sidelined through injury and struggling for form on his return.
Said to have a frosty relationship with boss Ernesto Valverde, Dembele is not keen on spending another season as a secondary player and has expressed his desire to leave – but Barcelona are standing firm on their stance.
According to the report, the LaLiga champions have made it clear they will not sell the former Dortmund man and believe Malcom to be a different sort of player, meaning there is room for both in the side.
