Chelsea are set to endure a stern fight on the transfer market for the services of Willian, as the Brazil international continues to attract widespread attention.
The Blues are already reported to have turned down a £50m offer for the 29-year-old from LaLiga champions Barcelona and are now braced for offers from Manchester United, according to The Daily Express.
Former Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho is keen to reunite with the South American at Old Trafford and links between Willian and the Red Devils have been present for a year, although there is no indication that Chelsea are willing to sell.
Any final decision on Willian is likely to be down to whoever Chelsea appoint for the forthcoming season but the club may prefer to sell abroad rather than to a direct rival – particularly after failing to secure a top-four finish last term.
If Chelsea were to sell, they can expect a significant improvement on the reported £30m fee they paid in 2015.
