New Chelsea boss Maurizio Sarri is set to have a difficult start to life at Stamford Bridge, as a number of the Blues’ star players continue to be linked with an exit.

Eden Hazard has emerged as the prime candidate to replace Cristiano Ronaldo at Real Madrid following the Portugal international’s sale to Juventus, while Barcelona continue to chase Willian.

Thibaut Courtois, also widely linked with a move to Madrid where he young family still lives following his time with Atletico, has now opened the door for a potential exit in comments quoted by The Daily Mirror.

“I will be coming back, for sure and I will see what they want and how they say it. Obviously with this World Cup, I think what was on the table obviously is different than what I can have, maybe.

“In this World Cup, I have ignored all the speculation, all the rumours. But now in the next few days I will have a chat with my agent and see what Chelsea told him, and then we will talk. But I feel happy at Chelsea, it’s not that I necessarily want to leave.”

Courtois was awarded the Golden Glove at the World Cup, where he helped Belgium secured their best-ever finish by beating England in the third-place playoff.
