Chelsea are set for a stern task in the coming weeks as they seek to land a replacement for Thibaut Courtois, who is widely reported to be set to land a move to Real Madrid.

The Champions League winners have until the LaLiga transfer deadline on 31st August to secure a deal, whereas Chelsea have just three weeks remaining in the market to land their ideal replacement for the Belgium international.

According to The Evening Standardthe Blues have added AC Milan’s 19-year-old star Gianluigi Donnarumma to their shortlist after missing out on Brazil international Alisson, who secured a world-record move to Liverpool on Thursday.

Leicester City’s Kasper Schmeichel is also on Maurizio Sarri’s shortlist and is a player who would cost significantly less than Donnarumma, who AC Milan value at an incredible £58m.

There is interest in Arsenal’s Petr Cech, a Chelsea legend, and the Blues are also fans of England hero Jordan Pickford – although they understand luring him from Everton a year after his £30m switch from Sunderland will be extremely difficult.
