Chelsea are chasing a wealth of additions to their ranks this summer and a major priority for the Blues is to sign a new top-class striker.

The west London side are reported to be ready to offload club-record signing Alvaro Morata after his inconsistent first season at Stamford Bridge, which has led to widespread reports stating Chelsea are keen on Bayern Munich’s Robert Lewandowski.

However, amidst continued speculation linking the Poland international with a mammoth exit from Bavaria, the club have made it clear they will not sell the former Borussia Dortmund man – with club president Uwe Hoeness the latest to comment on the situation.

Speaking to Sky Germany, he said:

“A €200m price tag is nonsense. Robert will not be sold and will play next season with us. Everything has been said about that.”

The 29-year-old is pushing for an exit but Bayern are keen to show that player power is not the key to sealing a transfer, as they stand firm on their views.
