Chelsea continue to search for a new manager and it’s increasingly likely that Antonio Conte will be leaving Stamford Bridge – although he could be handed a fresh opportunity elsewhere in Europe.

The Daily MailĀ state serial Champions League winners Real Madrid have identified Conte as a potential successor to Zinedine Zidane, who announced his departure from the Spanish giants last week.

That news rocked the LaLiga giants and it’s stated Los Blancos have turned their attention towards Conte after failing in an attempt to lure Massimiliano Allegri to the Santiago Bernabeu from Italian champions Juventus.

Conte has been on the brink of a departure from west London ever since clinching FA Cup glory by beating Manchester United at Wembley but the Blues have encountered numerous setbacks in their chase for the ideal replacement.

Reports suggest that former France and Paris Saint-Germain boss Laurent Blanc is the leading candidate, with Chelsea ending their pursuit of former Napoli coach Maurizio Sarri.
