Chelsea are expected to oversee major changes to their squad this summer after failing to qualify for the Champions League.

Wholesale departures are set to occur, with Spain international Alvaro Morata amongst those tipped for an exit after a disappointing debut season in the Premier League following his capture from Real Madrid last summer.

Chelsea are said to be willing to approve an exit for Morata, who has been linked with a number of sides across Europe, but Bundesliga giants Borussia Dortmund have made it clear they won’t make a move due to his asking price.

Speaking to Bild, Dortmund’s chief executive Michael Zorc said:

“I would say that Morata is too expensive – without knowing exact sums,”

Dortmund are seeking additions to their forward line after losing Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang to Arsenal in January and have been linked with a swoop for Michy Batshuayi, who impressed on-loan with the German side in the second half of last season.
