Chelsea are eyeing a wealth of additions in the summer transfer market and a new name has emerged on the Blues’ short-list.
TEAMTalk state Chelsea are the latest club to enter the chase for Aston Villa midfielder Jack Grealish, who looks set to leave Villa Park due to the club’s financial turmoil.
Grealish, also a reported target for a number of Premier League sides including West Ham and Arsenal, has a £40m price-tag placed upon him by the defeated Championship playoff finalists but Chelsea are looking to negotiate a smaller fee.
According to the report, Chelsea are ready to offer £30m to the Championship side for the services of Grealish and are willing to loan him back to the second-tier outfit for the upcoming season – which may be tempting for Villa.
The England U21 midfielder is keen to remain at Aston Villa for another 12 months and this proposed deal would give him that opportunity.
