Chelsea are expected to oversee widespread changes this summer following a disappointing season and there could be a number of high-profile exits.
The Blues are understood to be willing to offload club-record signing Alvaro Morata following his disappointing debut campaign in the Premier League, with the Spain forward linked with a host of European sides.
Rather surprisingly though, it is claimed the former Real Madrid man could return to the Spanish capital this summer as reports in Spain confirm the striker is ‘desperate’ to leave Stamford Bridge.
OKDiario’s chief pundit Eduardo Inda, speaking to El Chiringuito de Jugones, has claimed that reports stating that Morata’s father Alfonso has offered the striker back to Los Blancos are correct.
“He [Morarta] is going to leave Chelsea. Madrid wants to sign a ‘9’ and Alvaro Morata has been offered to Florentino (Perez) through his father’s mouth.”
Chelsea are in the market for a replacement for Morata, linked with the likes of Bayern Munich’s Robert Lewandowski and Juventus’ Gonzalo Higuain.
