Chelsea are chasing significant additions in the market as they seek to improve upon a disappointing campaign where they failed to secure Champions League football.

The Blues are widely reported to be waving goodbye to manager Antonio Conte after his failings this term and, despite their uncertain managerial situation, are pushing ahead with activity in the transfer market.

Sport Witness claims the Blues are showing ‘great interest’ in the services of Monaco’s France international Thomas Lemar, who has attracted the interest of Arsenal, Liverpool and Barcelona in the past year.

Chelsea face major competition in the market for the attacker as Atletico Madrid are said to be desperate to bring the 22-year-old to the Spanish capital, as they seek to retain the services of Antoine Griezmann.

Griezmann is heavily linked with a transfer to Barcelona and hope the potential addition of Lemar will tempt the striker into snubbing the interest of the LaLiga champions.
