Chelsea have been in a precarious situation since their FA Cup final victory over Manchester United last month, with Antonio Conte braced for an exit but the Blues have struggled to land a replacement.

Former Napoli boss Maurizio Sarri swiftly emerged as the preferred candidate to take charge at Stamford Bridge, with the Italian side replacing him with Carlo Ancelotti, but negotiating an agreement has proved to be difficult.

Finally, an agreement has been reached andĀ The MirrorĀ states Sarri will be appointed in west London this week – and his dedication shows as he will begin his spell in the Premier League by sleeping at the club’s training ground.

Sarri is expected to arrive in London within the next 24 hours to put pen to paper on a two-year agreement, with the option to extend into a third year, and he will initially base himself at the club’s Cobham training ground as his restructure begins.
