Chelsea are seeking major additions to their side after failing to qualify for the Champions League next season and incoming Blues boss Maurizio Sarri is targeting some big additions.

Speculation linking Thibaut Courtois with an exit from Stamford Bridge continues to float around the press and Sarri has wasted no time in identifying the ideal replacement, targeting a move for Roma’s Brazil international Alisson.

The Champions League semi-finalist has excelled for club and country, helping Brazil ease into the knockout stages of the World Cup in Russia, and his performances have courted the attention of Liverpool and Real Madrid.

However, Spanish outlet Marca, cited by Sport Witness, claim that Chelsea lead the chase for the South American stopper in a deal that could be worth as much as €70m.

Roma are demanding an astonishing fee for the 25-year-old goalkeeper and it appears that Chelsea are the only side willing to meet their valuation.
