Chelsea have plenty of work to do this summer after missing out on Champions League football for next season and, while first-team additions are the priority, the Blues continue to eye talents for the future.

The west London giants have been attributed with interest in England U21 international goalkeeper Dean Henderson by The Daily Mail after his starring performances on-loan in League One with Shrewsbury Town, helping the club earn promotion after playoff victory at Wembley.

Henderson, also a reported target for Arsenal, Benfica, Olympiacos and Roma, sees his current deal expire this summer but Manchester United are closing in on a renewal for the youngster, offering a two-year extension with the option of a further 12 months.

The Red Devils are determined to retain the services of the young stopper and see the next stage in his development being a stint in the Championship next term, where Stoke, Bristol City and Leeds United are already raising interest.
