Chelsea are struggling to find the right man to lead them next season, as they continue to eye a replacement for FA Cup winning manager Antonio Conte, but an ideal opportunity seems to have landed on their plate.
The SunĀ states the Blues are lining-up a move for Zinedine Zidane after his shock departure from Real Madrid, just days after leading the Spanish giants to their third Champions League title in a row.
Clearly seeking a new challenge, Zidane stated at his press conference yesterday that he’ll take a break from football and isn’t looking for a new role immediately – although Chelsea will try to attempt the World Cup winner to move to the Premier League.
Zidane, already heavily linked as a predecessor to Didier Deschamps in the France side after the World Cup in Russia, would prove to be a difficult candidate to secure and a move to Stamford Bridge may have come around too early for the French legend.
