Chelsea have endured a turbulent period since winning the FA Cup at Wembley, as the Blues have struggled in their push to land a replacement for manager Antonio Conte.

The Italian boss is likely to leave Stamford Bridge this summer after failing to qualify for the Champions League next season, although the Blues have encountered problems in the market – namely seeing Napoli throw a spanner in the works for their plans to land Maurizio Sarri.

Sarri now appears to be off the cards and the situation may have gone full circle, as Spanish outletĀ SportĀ state that former Barcelona boss Luis Enrique is back in the fight to land the position at Stamford Bridge.

Conversations between the Champions League winning boss and the Blues were said to have taken place a few weeks ago before the trail went cold, though it’s now reported he could sign a three-year deal in the coming days.
