The agent of Napoli ace Jose Callejon has insisted he has not held talks with Chelsea, despite repeated transfer links suggesting the Spaniard will move to Stamford Bridge.
Former Napoli boss Maurizio Sarri is expected to take charge of Chelsea in the coming weeks, replacing Antonio Conte, and it’s widely being suggested he will look to raid his former Serie A employers.
Callejon is one of many players from the Serie A runners-up that is being linked with a move to join the Blues but his agent, Manuel Garcia Quillon, has said no negotiations have taken place – and revealed when the winger’s £20m release clause will expire at the end of the month.
Speaking to Radio Kiss Kiss, he said:
“His release clauses expire on June 30. However, I can deny having any contact with Chelsea, Villarreal, Valencia and Milan for him.”
31-year-old Callejon, formerly of Real Madrid, has scored 56 goals in 187 league appearances since joining Napoli in 2013.
