Chelsea are looking for significant improvements to their side after failing to qualify for next season’s Champions League and it’s widely reported that major business will occur in their attacking ranks.

It’s understood the Blues are ready to offload club-record signing Alvaro Morata just a year after he arrived from Real Madrid and are looking to replace the Spain ace, who missed out on his nation’s World Cup squad, with a household name.

The MirrorĀ is the latest outlet to report Chelsea’s interest in Bayern Munich striker Robert Lewandowski, who has suggested he will leave the serial Bundesliga champions after his World Cup campaign with Poland.

Chelsea’s interest in the 29-year-old forward comes despite not knowing who their next manager will be, as they seek a replacement for Antonio Conte but are struggling to get a deal for recently departed Napoli boss Maurizio Sarri over the line.

The Blues are also reported to have targeted Argentina Mauro Icardi and Gonzalo Higuain as candidates to lead their line next season.
