Chelsea are expected to complete significant changes to their side this summer and it’s likely to include a number of departures from Stamford Bridge.
The Sun claims that one of those potentially on the move away from west London is young goalkeeper Jamaal Blackman, stating the stopper is keen to leave permanently after spending this season on-loan with Sheffield United.
24-year-old Blackman featured 33 times during his time at Bramall Lane this term and took to social media to hint that he’d be interested in returning to the south Yorkshire outfit in the future.
Despite recently signing a new three-year deal with Chelsea, The Sun states on it’s printed edition on Tuesday (page 52) that the young stopper is keen on completing a permanent switch to the Blades worth around £2.5m.
Blackman is yet to earn a senior appearance at Chelsea and a move to Sheffield United for the fee mentioned would be a significant investment for the club, their highest fee on a single player since signing Ched Evans nine years ago.
